I'd find it incredibly harder to make an NES rom from scratch than to make it a PC/Mac game IMO. If it's just going to be a 'direct' port of an existing game, I'd prob leave it to PC/Mac versions instead of trying to make an old NES rom. Unless they write new programs that's specifically made to work on this game. Yes, a MM9 actual NES game would be neat, but would require old tools and reverse engineering to be able to format the game into an NES game, which lot of ppl don't have these days.
